This rather unique trailer requires no loading ramps as the complete trailer bed drops down to floor level making for ease of loading, and automatic front wheel bike anchors make loading even easier. Will take three large bikes or even a trike. |

This car is just breathtaking. The build quality and attention to detail are superb and a credit to the builder. Fitted with a 3.5lt Rover sdi enginge with 5 speed gearbox and Ford atlas rear axel. The engine has reworked cylinder heads, high compression pistons, performance cam with anti pump up lifters, 4 barrel holly carb, custom built exhaust headers with twin side exhaust. Weighing in at only 740kg, the car's performance is entertaining to say the least with a massive silly grin factor both in speed and noise! Fitted with 'as new' weather gear and a heater, his car can be used year round. The car has just had one owner / builder and also our good selves from its completion and registration, with full sva testing in 1993. It took five years to build and a small fortune was spent by its festidious builder. Road or race ready. The car has only covered 3950 road miles with no competition use. You won't find another as good as this. |

It all started when David Kay wrote to Enzo Ferrari's son Piero, requesting to build a one-off motorcycle sporting the famous prancing horse badge in tribute to his late father. In a letter dated maranello, 23rd May 1990 and signed by P Ferrari himself (included in the comprehensive press and information file on this lot) Kay receives: ' the approval to place the Ferrari badge on your motorbike' and is wished good luck with his project. When highly reputed MV Agusta 'guru' David Kay set about building this unique piece of engineering from scratch, he looked towards both the future and the past, as he thought of what may have been if Ferrari would have decided to produce a GT or endurance racing machine. Kay was inspired by the fact that Enzo had started his racing on a Scott two-stroke machine and so a project representing over 3,000 man-hours of work was launched. The engine is a 'scratch built' 900cc, transverse, double overhead camshaft, four cylinder, eight valve unit with magnesium and alloy casings, driven through a five speed gearbox. The tubular chassis is made of Reynolds 531 tube, engineering on the motorcycle is irreproachable and the detail is quite astounding. The attention to this is quite incredible, with the master cylinder built into the obviously one off digital instrument panel and is again portrayed with the exquisite steering damper. Terry Hall, who also produced the double curvature reverse cone megaphones, made the entire bodywork out of aluminium. In Kay's own words these are too beautiful to merely funnel exhaust gases from engine to atmosphere; 'the noise is like a Messerschmitt chasing a Spitfire'. The front end is very contemporary in conception with Forcelle Italia upside down forks, massive twin piston Brembo disc brakes front and rear (6 pot calipers to the front, 4 to the rear) and special 17 inch hand spun Astralite wheels. WPS twin rear shock absorbers complete the basic specification. Four years after starting on the project, although tested but never to its full capacity, the 'Ferrari 900' has an estimated top speed of 265 km/h producing 105bhp at 8,800rpm with a dry weight of a mere 172kg. The bike has been featured with acclaim in worldwide publications ranging from 'Scuderia' in Japan, 'Themen & Trends' in Germany, 'Motociclismo' in Italy, 'SM30' in Spain and obviously 'Motor Cycle News' in the UK; not forgetting a full half page colour spread in the 'Daily Telegraph'! With a long article in Mike Walker's recognised work 'The MV Story', it has also been the star of several TV programs and exhibited at the Coventry Classic Bike show to mention just a few occasions. Having spent most of its life in the vendor's drawing room and rightly regarded as a work of art, he has now decided that the time has come for this masterpiece to find a new custodian. In today's world of mass production, the chance to purchase this officially acknowledged one off tribute to Enzo Ferrari, may never arise again. |

It is no surprise therefore that any car to come off the test bench at Concept Racing will not only be well designed but each component will have been tested, built using the best materials and well put together. The LMP900 presented here today is the only aluminium honeycomb chassis ever to use this bodywork. It was made by Reynard for their 2KQ Le Mans LMP900 sports prototype. The body is a fully autoclaved carbon fibre unit over a Nomex core and is super stiff and very light. The Floors, rear diffuser and side pods are all carbon as is the twin element rear wing and wing posts. The chassis was designed and made by Concept Racing and is made from aluminium honeycomb sheet as well as the wishbones and ancillary components. The engine is a supercharged Hyabusa engine upgraded in order to make it strong enough to cope with the 300bhp available. The super charger is a Rotrex unit which is a mechanical turbo running a gearbox internally to step the revs up 10 to 1. With the current gearing it runs at 14psi but can run up to 22psi if required. It also runs its own sealed oil system and oil cooler which are inherently very reliable. The engine oil system is cooled by means of a heat exchanger (water cooled oil cooler) and the induction charge is cooled by both an intercooler and a charge cooler (water cooled inter-cooler). The engineering on this car is outstanding, all components have been designed to flow, all water radiators and intercoolers have shaped header tanks to improve flow and all have been built to F1 standards using titanium and alloy steels. There are over £3,000 worth of hose clamps alone and the wishbones are of Cromoly aero section design. The steering wheel has an Aim mounted display and full data logger with a Reynard 2KQ pedal box. The carbon fibre gear change rod, Nitron shocks and Quaife differential all contribute to make this a seriously rapid tool and podium finisher in any hillclimb you care to mention. The car comes with a set of wets, spare sprockets and drop gears, new 6 point sparco race harness, and new plumed in fire extinguisher along with two new spare front wings, nose cone and the full rear body all new and in carbon fiber, there are also some body moulds to complete a full spare body which from Reynard's where originally at a cost of £40,000. The total build cost of this car has exceeded £70,000 (and was a five year project) plus that did not include the cost of one body never mind the second spare one. The car has just undergone a full pree race check over and at the same time the qwaife gear box has been fitted with the latest upgraded splind input shaft. The car is ready to race. Our asking price for this superbly engineered, unique and virtually unused race car represents fantastic unrepeatable value for money. Not to be missed !
