 We are building a new speed hill climb car after the sale of our very successful Subaru 22B which myself and my brother in law Keith Edwards have had considerable success in and a great deal of fun with over the last two race seasons. The new owner John Davis is having similar results with this very quick car. The New car is to be a Subarault !! the Clio Trophy style wide body car will be extensively carbon fibre with all Subaru running gear so it will be four wheel drive it is also to be supercharged and twin turbo (I am sure there must be pills to cure this affliction that me and lots of other speed hill climbers are suffering but what the hell life is for living!!!). We are looking for lightness, drivability and torque so will be restricting the 700 + BHP potential to enhance this goal.

The downer car that we have cut all the upper body off.
Here you can see the start of the Subarault build .We have removed all the upper bodywork from a STI Classic body just leaving the suspension turret's and front lower bullhead and started to fit the cage.
You will also notice the supercharger mountings are already fabricated (twin turbo fabrication to follow !) along with the drive and the relocation and mounting of the original alternator. We will not be running Subaru power steering as we need all the room in the front we can create so I will be opting for electric power steering and rear mounted radiator.

This car has just hade a full engine rebuild with new cross drilled nitrided crank, new steel roads, comp bearings, high pressure oil pump, F1 Racing 6 paddle clutch, Megan Racing ss manifolds and 3” Pro drive cat free exhaust. Car has also just been fitted with fully adjustable Megan Racing Coil Overs, new front grooved vented discs along with 290mm rears along with all new tyres.

This car is now in our race shop undergoing a full conversion to FIA speed hill climb specification (no longer road going) in readiness for the 2012 season and will be raced by us until our new Subarault special is finished and then it will be for sale unless you twist my arm and make me sell it now!!!

The car is having :- all road equipment and trim removed, Rear mounted radiator with electric pump and side air intake ducts to body,Lightweight battery relocated to passenger foot well with competition isolator. Specially fabricated in house front mounted exhaust manifold with side exhaust exit along with upgraded TD06 Turbo with full front mounted intercooler and cold air intake box, 700 injectors and Simtec ECU and remap, Full FIA Role Cage, front and rear splitters, carbon front and rear pads. five point harness and fire extinguisher. On completion the car will come with FIA competition log book.
